Get To Know Our Power Equipment

Posted by Claudia Dean on

Dance is an art form, and just like a painter needs brushes or a musician needs instruments, dancers too can benefit hugely from certain tools. Enter our Claudia Dean Power Equipment Range - designed to help you fine tune your technique and help improve your strength and flexibility. Let’s get to know a bit about our Power Equipment

  1. Power Band:

The Power Band is every dancer's best friend and is useful for so many different things.  Whether you loop it around your leg during a stretch to improve flexibility or your feet for some extra resistance, there's so many exercises the Power Band can be used for. One of my favourite exercises to help improve my arabesque strength and height is Arabesques in the Powerband (check out hundreds of exercises with power equipment available on the Claudia Dean App).

  1. Power Ball:

The Power Ball is especially useful for dancers who are preparing to dance en pointe but it's also perfect to incorporate regularly to keep your ankles, feet and calves strong. One of my favourite ways to use the ball is PowerBall PushDowns, which not only improves toe strength, but also enhances the overall foot line. We also have a Mini Ball, which is especially good for isolated foot work as well as trigger and tension release through the muscles.

  1. Power Roller:

After a rigorous week of classes and rehearsals, it’s pretty normal for our muscles to feel tense and sore. The Power Roller is ideal for this, not just for recovery, but also to prepare your muscles pre-class or performance too! I love to roll it over my calves, thighs, and back for an instant tension release! I love to open up my hips with the Elevated Froggie with Roller & Power Band - which is a great exercise for improving turnout.

  1. Power Ring:

Resistance is the key to muscle strengthening, and the Power Ring offers just that. If you want to improve your pirouettes, back strength is key and one of my go-to exercises to help do achieve this is Power Ring Turns. When placed between your arms, it helps activate the correct postural muscles that will help you perfect your pirouettes!

  1. Power Bottle:

Last, but certainly not least - hydration! Proper water consumption is crucial for dancers not only for our general health, but also for the health of our joints too (did you know that water actually keeps our joints properly lubricated and cushioned?). I take my Power Bottle everywhere and make sure I drink at least 3-4 of these bottles per day (plus it’s insulated to keep your water cold).

Our Power Equipment is now available in two epic bundles - both at discounted prices!

Our Technique Bundle includes: Power Ball, Power Band, Power Roller, Power Ring & Tote bag for just $99 (saving you nearly $50).

And our Technique Bundle 2.0 (NEW) includes: Power Ball, MINI BALL, Power Band, Power Roller, Power Ring and Tote Bag for just $109 (saving you nearly $60).
